Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Fintrax, an AI equity-research and education tool provided by Fintrax Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”). Please read them carefully, together with our Privacy Policy.

Important: information and education only, not financial advice

Fintrax provides general, impersonal research and educational information about publicly listed companies. It is not investment advice, not a personal recommendation, and not an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security. Fintrax does not know your circumstances, objectives, or risk appetite, and nothing it produces is tailored to you.

Fintrax Ltd is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and does not provide a personal advisory or portfolio-management service. Investing carries risk, including the loss of capital invested. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions and should do your own research and consider seeking advice from a suitably authorised financial adviser.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our service.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Fintrax is an AI research analyst for non-expert investors. It reads public sources — company filings, fundamentals and news — and explains public companies in plain English. The service includes:

  • AI Analyst Briefs: general, impersonal research notes on individual companies, including a thesis framed as opinion, bull and bear cases, key risks and catalysts, and a scenario range that is clearly labelled as opinion, with citations to the underlying sources.
  • “Ask the analyst” Q&A copilot: a question-and-answer assistant grounded in market data and news that explains companies and concepts on request.
  • Watchlist: a way to follow companies you are interested in.
  • Daily digest: a summary of what has changed across the companies you follow.

The same briefs and research content are published to all users; they are not created for, or personalised to, any individual. We offer both a free tier and a paid subscription with different usage limits (see section 6).

3. User Accounts and Registration

To use our service, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others.

4. No Advisory Relationship

Using Fintrax does not create an advisory, fiduciary, or brokerage relationship between you and us. We do not assess the suitability or appropriateness of any security or strategy for you, and we do not manage money or execute trades.

Any forward-looking statement, scenario, or range produced by the service is an opinion and is inherently uncertain. It is not a guaranteed forecast of future performance. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. You must make your own decisions and, where appropriate, seek independent advice from a firm authorised by the FCA.

5. Accuracy of AI-Generated Content and Data

Our briefs and answers are generated by AI models. AI output is probabilistic and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. It can misinterpret sources or state something with unwarranted confidence. You should not rely on it as a statement of fact without checking the cited sources yourself.

Market data is provided by third parties and is delayed by at least 15 minutes. Prices, fundamentals and other figures shown in Fintrax are not real-time and may differ from the values quoted by your broker or an exchange. We do not warrant that any data is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

6. Subscription Plans and Payments

Free Plan

The free plan includes limited usage: up to 3 companies on your watchlist, up to 5 analyst briefs per month, and up to 20 copilot questions per month.

Pro Plan

Pro removes those limits. It costs £12/month or £99/year, and you can cancel at any time.

Payment Terms

  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe; we never see or store your card details
  • All prices include VAT where applicable
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
  • You can cancel from your account settings; access continues until the end of the paid period

7. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then.

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the start of a new subscription. If you contact us within 14 days you may cancel for a refund; where you have asked us to begin the service during that period, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service already provided.

Refunds after the cooling-off period are at our discretion, typically only for technical issues that prevent access to the service.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, harvest, redistribute, resell, or republish the market data, briefs, or other content from the service
  • Use the service, or any output from it, to provide investment advice or a regulated financial service to others
  • Use automated means to place excessive load on the service or circumvent usage limits
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise our systems or the models behind them
  • Share your account access with third parties
  • Upload or submit malware, or otherwise attempt to disrupt the service
  • Use the service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose, or in breach of applicable laws or regulations
  • Interfere with other users' access to the service

9. Intellectual Property

The Fintrax service, including our software, prompts, user interface, briefs and documentation, is protected by intellectual property laws. Market data and news are owned by our data providers and licensed to us. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary technology or content
  • Use our trademarks without permission
  • Create derivative works based on the service or redistribute its output commercially

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend service for:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Security updates
  • Technical issues beyond our control, including third-party data or model outages
  • Legal or regulatory requirements

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Service Disclaimer

Our service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of AI-generated briefs, answers, or scenario ranges
  • The accuracy or timeliness of third-party market data or news
  • Suitability for your specific situation or investment objectives
  • Continuous, error-free operation

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any investment losses, or for any indirect, consequential, or special damages, arising from decisions you make based on the information the service provides. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to the above, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Fail to pay subscription fees
  • Use the service inappropriately

Upon termination, you will lose access to the service and your data may be deleted according to our data retention policy.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and through our service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
